In my opinion, she realized what kind of a person she really was in her 20s, and instead of trying to learn from it she plays the victim and finds someone to blame. People need to learn accountability. Society isn’t helping but with all things in life it’s always about choices we choose to make that ultimately create the present.

100%. As a guy that slept with 30+ women in his 20s, I feel like this goes both ways. It's not that men are missing the cues, it's that women are not communicating well enough. We get the cues, we're not ignoring them, but we're being somewhat persistent and taking control because.. dun dun dun.- Literally every women I've been with wants that. I've been in situations where the cues are there. I listen to my gut and I don't pursue it. I'm told later that I didn't "try". So how about using the word NO. If you feel you can't say no, then that's on you. If you're scared to say no, then why are you there with that person. If you're so good at reading these cues, why did you put yourself in the situation. Your cues should be able to tell you if this guy is creepy or not. Say NO once and ANY normal guy should back off. If not, then 100% rape. The word no is powerful. Don't be a sour puss because you semi wanted it and it turned out to be not what you wanted.

I’m a Gen X-er, so I came of age during a time when women apparently didn’t have much agency. I never once had a problem telling a guy “No”, and I never ONCE had a guy force me into some thing that I didn’t want to happen. Now I’ve had guys get upset, and maybe call me a few names out of frustration, but I never felt pressured into having “sex that I didn’t want to have”. I suppose nowadays though, men are expected to be clairvoyant, because women apparently aren’t able to effectively communicate? Like WTF?!?!?

If I had to guess it's because that's the way they evolved. Humans evolved in small, close-knit tribes of a hundred or so. If a chick in that tribe was direct with the first guy that wanted to fuck her, EVERYONE in the tribe would know it. All other potential suitors (who may have been far more desirable genetic matches) would stop pursuing her and depending on the male she fucked's standing in the tribe she could be seen as a female of low worth. So they make the dude play games so they don't have to commit to a single mate and wait for the best possible mate to make the first move. Guys could fuck as many chicks as they wanted and go on their merry way; when you're going to end up incapacitated for almost a year because of a sexual encounter you're going to be much more choosy with your mate, even if that means being dishonest and playing games. This social structure existed for thousands and thousands of years: you can't expect a hundred or so years of urban living and an abundance of potential mates to change human psychology overnight. It's why it's silly for MGTOW fags to complain about women being this way: in all likelihood they can't help it anymore than men can help wanting to fuck everything that moves. All you can do is learn how women communicate, be an honest and upstanding man yourself and you'll generally be okay. If you're socially aware it's not that hard to recognize which chicks are crazy and avoid them, even if they are trying to suck you off.

If everyone just learned to speak their minds and articulate their feelings well, like a normal adult, everyone's lives will be much easier. If I don't say what I mean, I don't expect other people to have an obligation to figure out what I really mean. If the man is still not getting it after I have been very clear and upfront, THEN I could say that they have a problem in their sensitivity and perceptiveness. A man can cajole or be as persistent as he wants, if I don't want it, I make sure to say it, repeat it, be firm about it. If I find it to be too much, I won't associate with the person anymore. If they can't understand what I mean after I have been very clear, I don't have to talk to them if I don't want to. But how many times did we cajole, negotiate or pressure our parents for things when we were young? How many times in life do we negotiate or try to convince others of something? A lot. We do it to other people too, in many areas, without even realizing it sometimes. It's human nature to negotiate for something that you really want, it's not a crime. Men and women both do it. It becomes a crime when you force someone against their will. Just learn to not cave under pressure, it's something we should have learned as children, to not give in to peer pressure. Learn to speak your mind and articulate well. Don't create unnecessary ambiguity and suffering. If you don't like someone who is persistent and cajoling, don't associate with them then.

A lot of what she says sounds like feminist nonsense, but I think she has a fairly good overall point in the end. Women sometimes get talked into having sex with men when they don't truly want to, usually out of some sense of obligation (i've certainly been in that situation before). However, I think it's not men's job to read women's minds. I think it's women's job to develop enough of a backbone to say no.
@borumir4 жыл бұрын
OK but the guy only took you out an bought you dinner "out of obligation" If most guys could skip the date and go right to sex trust me no matter what your "guy friends" tell you they would. I think women fail to take into account that we are driven by our biology. If it wasnt for sex most men wouldn't want anything to do with women. It may sound if it's true, what do most couples really have in common? For the most part, guys have totally different mindset and interests. So when a guy asks a woman out, 99% of the time his goal is sex, so if you arent interested in that you shouldnt say yes in the first place. Not saying something cant happen during a date to make you decide you dont want to (and that decision should always be respected) or that you cant wait if you dont feel comfortable, BUT if you are waiting just to play "the game" or worse yet only saying yes to the date in the first place just "to get a free dinner" with nio interest in the guy, then you are just adding to the problem. @@borumir so I get where you're coming from, and I get that men are driven by evolutionary biology, but I think that women are too. I'm a transsexual, so I can't really speak for biological women, but it seems to me that women are more likely to be driven by a desire to find a relationship. In the Aziz Ansari situation, for example, I think the girl expected Aziz to be her Prince Charming. Women are taught (correctly) that if you have sex with a man on the first date, he's less likely to value you as a potential partner. He's more likely to try to "hit it and quit it," which many women don't want. You're supposed to wait a few dates to try to win the guy over with your personality before you give him the goods. Personally, i think that's a legitimate reason to withhold sex on the first date. However, if a girl is simply expecting the guy to take her to dinner out of the goodness of his heart and she has no plans to ever sleep with him then yeah, she's wasting his time. I think the lines get blurred when men and women have ostensibly platonic relationships where one expects sex and the other doesn't.

@@tahlermohz Nah fuck that. I never get asked when a girl wants to fuck me. They just go for it and if I don't want it I will let them know clearly. If I want it, I will engage their advances and go along with it. This whole discussion is just selective taking of responsibility by women. Also, why would I ever try to have sex with a girl who isn't into me? As a rule I only sleep with girls who like me. If the girl doesn't like me I wouldn't even get into the situation where I would be thinking that sex was an option.
