Growing up in Miami, we knew the rapper Rick Ross was a C/O. It didn't matter because he didn't have a bad rep with the prisoners her oversaw. Everyone gets some sort of regular job out of high school and being a C/O pays well. The neighborhood he is from is notorious for the shenanigans; that part isn't a lie. Some of his homeboys are/were really about that life. Him, on the other hand did not do those things. When he made the everyday I'm hustling song/video, he owned a suburban and lived in regular apartments but turned that money into real profits that you see now. Then the things he portrayed may have eased into reality; but definitely no boss of Miami or the notables he named. The issue came when he tried to deny he was a C/O. Created beef with Trick Daddy and a few others just to keep it under wraps. Fif caught wind of it and exploited it. The Zoes were on his head and it was no longer safe for homeboy to be showing his face. Let's just say Officer Ricky now resides in Georgia. Not allowed to come back down to South Florida.

Let's be clear about one thing, "Freeway" Rick Ross was ONE of the cocaine links. The Iran Contra cocaine was trafficked to more than one state, not just South Central L.A. I'll have to see if I can dig the information up, but I saw a graphic which showed approximately 5 or 6 cities in different states. If I recall correctly New Orleans, Miami, and Chicago were listed.
