I just loved Phil Hartman. He was just a unique funny talented and endearing man. What a huge loss for us all. Such a tragic story and way to end the life of someone that really had an impact on so many people. I would have never known Joe was close to him. Sad.

there is a clip from JRE with Dave Foley, where Joe talks about being at a party with her, and she was just so demeaning to Phil. And Andy Dick is allegedly the one who sent her back down the cocaine path that led to Phil's eventually death. He was just cosmically screwed, and a huge, huge loss.

I remember it seeming like that was the final nail. Everything changed on The Simpsons after Phil Died. It was a death that hit home when I was a kid. He was very loved.

I was in the Czech Republic when Phil died and never heard about it. When I returned to the States and didn't see any sign of him on TV or anywhere and when I found out, I was devastated. He was a great graphic artist. Did the album cover for Steely Dan's Aja, America's Greatest Hits. Some Poco album covers, too. I wish I met him.

I was just a toddler, but I remember playing a game called "Blasto". Phil voiced Blasto. I remember giggling and playing it over and over for purely his voice over. Then watched shows like Ren and Stimpy, never knowing he died like a month before Blasto came out

It was such a tragic loss, he was an incredibly talented and sweet guy. Look up videos of Jon Lovitz talking about him, he can't stop himself from choking up. Everyone on SNL loved him, there's a video of the late 80s cast all holding each other as they present a video tribute to him at SNL's 25th anniversary in 1999. It's very moving... We've lost so many comedy legends now, it's really sad but that's life I guess.

Phil Hartman was my all time favorite SNL cast member. I know that's a big statement considering how many great comedians that show produced. He was versatile, funny and made everyone around him better. Loved him.

Today marks 25 years since one of the most unfair and tragic deaths of a celebrity ever. I had never taken a death of a celebrity that hard until Phil Hartman was taken from us. Such a senseless and confusing death of a man who had so much to give the world. You are not forgotten Phil. 25 years later we miss you.

I remember an E! Documentary mention that in one of the SNL’s openings with Phil Hartman’s intro, his wife was actually in the shot. And she tried to turn her face around to the camera but the crew wont let her. So it just shows the back of her head...as it should be! You ain’t part of the cast

My first real memory of Phil was in Blind Date, with Bruce Willis and Kim Basinger. A really great guy. Never will forget him as Frank Sinatra on SNL telling Sting as Billy Idol- "I've got chunks of guys like you in my stool"

I wished I could've met him too. And yeah, my soul still hurts to think Phil is no longer around. How much did I admire Phil - The Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Vegas was selling the prop box of "Colon Blow" ad parody Phil held on a SNL bit, and I considered buying it. Still kinda regret I didn't. Just to have something that Phil had touched seems like a good omen to have. And that dead pan response he had in the bit "...Colon Blow?", will forever crack me up!
