Debarb your treble hooks for easier release and ease in removing the lure when it becomes entangled in the net. I have experienced virtually no disadvantages in landing trout using barbless or de-barbed hooks. I've been doing this for over 4 decades of stream trout fishing with UL spinning outfits and lighter, shorter fly rod outfits. I enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work. There's an appreciable difference in fishing for truly wild trout and "stockers". When wild trout become selective, you must adapt and learn more about how they are feeding and the life forms involved. I enjoy fishing stocked trout, acclimated stocked trout, and wild trout. The range of baits, lures, and flies makes for a wide variety of approaches which always keeps me interested. There's nothing more fun than walking and wading trout streams with polarized glasses hunting fishing, in my opinion.

Thanks for the tips on bullet weight and bobber stop. I wanted to try that and now I see that it works. As always you give me things I can use! Thanks for sharing! It's not about watching a guy catch fish. I want to learn new things to try. Love your videos!

Great video! I've never seen anyone use a dropshot weight with a spinner like that, but it seems like it'd be very effective in certain situations

Using spinners on flies is extremely underrated I used to have some small spinners that you'd attach to live bait and I'd connect a small streamer such as a baby rainbow or a black Zulu wet fly.

In the evening at the lakes when they start jumping I throw on a clear bobber and reel it in slow. I leave about 2-3 feet in between the lure and the bobber.

Anyone ever tried fishing it under a really small float like a trout magnet float to reduce snags in shallow rapids with pockets?? Cause that's where I ALWAYS snag them but early in the season they like the little pockets near fast water

Nice video man, thank you! Curious the test of line you used and even brand?
@NRVOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
For trout line I keep it very specific but basic. I always use flurocarbon however unlike bass fishing I will use very cheap stuff. I often use berkley vanish in 8 or 10lb "we do catch giant trout around here" 6lb is most affective but more apt to brake.
@boobookittyfuck33444 жыл бұрын
The rubber nets with bigger holes is better when fishing with any spinners. You won’t keep getting the hook snagged in the net.

The bass pro's get tons of product for free and sell it on Ebay last year I bought a bunch of these weights and the guy sent a personnel autographed pic with the order,(BASS PRO CHAMP) let me say this the Strike king tungsten were 4 weights for $18.00, think they were 3/8 Oz, and 1/2 Oz.I DID BUY A CPL PACKS TO TEST THEM OUT, Not worth the money but a superior product. Like MY ST. CROIX SURF ROD it's $ 350 but most likely worth half, paying for the brand I suppose anyway great video once again.

@@NRVOutdoors Hello and good day fellow American!! My name is Jonathan Stephens, I currently reside in Franklin, Nc!!! Some great trout fishing spots around here. On that note, thank you for helping me smile like a jack ass eating sour briars, I came across one of your videos and it was amazing to see the happiness it brings, you have so some much fun. You and the positive vibes really help pull me outta my rut I was in.. I am a brand new father for three Wonderful step childern. Conner (11), Carson (9), and our youngest, Caydence (8)... I have had a great life, but it was all by myself. Now, I couldn't be more Blessed to finally have kids!!! I haven't had any biologically, (that I know of, lol)... Those kids have been through more stuff than 3/4 of the United States, (not in a good way).. Their mother Kasie is such a wonderful mother, best friend, soul mate. She's my answered prayers, saving me from a life with no positive ending at all, I'm not trying to sound like a pity party, so I'm gonna let my pride down and ask.. I've had the worst luck on employment these last 4 months, somethings I've never had problems with..ever.., I pinky promise.. The employers I've worked for can't/won't/don't understand that my children with Autism, they have to have more work, with one on one help.. Their mother Kasie, is such a wonderful, great, outstanding woman, strong, with a heart of gold, she deserves the World... So my pride being let down to ask, but is there anyway y'all may have any extra poles, gear, line, lures, or extra stuff, that maybe yall don't need? Possibly could donate to my kiddos/our family. I personally found three different abandoned poles over a month period, rigged and robbed a few pieces from each one to make a decent pole that casts, so each kid gets a chance to try and catch a fish 😁😁😁 I had some line left over (about 10 feet worth) , so I made a cane pole from scratch, so at least they felt like they were fishing... We may not have much but we have a lot of love!! I don't care if there's nothing in it for me material wise, cause the smile on there faces would be good enough for me!! Thank yall for taking the time to read this, if yall have no extra stuff, I totally understand, sorry I had to reach out to someone for help, I'm just trying to do the best I know how.. I've never reached out and asked for help, this life was happy, until I met my family, now I know the true meaning of happy... I love how they look up to me, I want nothing, all for the kids..(My fiance may need a pole too, she's 5 foot 5 and amazing.. if By chance, if yall have anything to donate, (if yall dont, we totally understand I pinky promise) to do twice the amount of unseen good deeds in yalls honor, I pinky promise!! I totally understand if no one can help, we're just keep up our Positive Mental Attitudes, If you need anything information wise, please feel free to contact me.. If you know any charity foundations that are set up to help those bettering themselves, in need for fishing gear, feel free to send me their way... Hope you have a great day!!.. Maybe post an email, or a link that could direct me to a sponsor, film trying lures as well... I hope yall have a fantastic day!! Thanks so much for the great huge smile on my face, sending tons of positive vibes and energy your way! I can show any one visiting some fantastic honey holes.. I'll reply to pinned email addresses.. ✌️

Would you be able to help me with finding bass at Claytor? Would like to talk with you some about fishing
@NRVOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
I would recommend fishing docks around the lake. Use sinkos, shaky heads, or dropshot. Claytor is a very tough lake so any fish is a major success.

I’ve recently ordered a joes flies short striker spinner and it’s so light I can’t cast it I’ve tried eveything letting it drift in fast flow and putting split shots on could someone please give me advice
@NRVOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Move your splitshot weights close to the spinner & reel slowly
@harryprice96304 жыл бұрын
NRV Outdoors I had tried that today but I can’t cast anymore than a few a few feet in front of me
@NRVOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Try using 6 or 8lb fluorocarbon line and maybe 2 or 3 b size weights. Then you should be successful getting the spinner down and have enough weight to cast a long distance.
@harryprice96304 жыл бұрын
NRV Outdoors thank you
@lemon-iu7bo3 жыл бұрын
@@harryprice9630 if you still can't cast add a swivel, from the swivel tie a leader to the joe fly, then on the little clip on the swivel attach a weight.
