The number I got is different. He said “two or three times a day for 25 years.” So I did 25x365 to get 9,125 days of Mounds bar eating. Then you add six days because at least six February 29ths occur in 25 years for 9,131 days of eating. Then I multiplied that by 2.5 because I assume an equal number of two and three bar days for a total of 22,827.5 Mounds bars. To be fair, if he ate only two bars a day for every day for 25 years except for one (because then he would just say two per day) then it comes to 18,263 Mounds. Assuming the high end of three every day except for one is 27,392. So the total falls between 18,263 and 27,392.

That's WAY too much for a Mounds bar. I've never seen one over $1.49 before tax. And where I'm from, tax is only 4.5%, so I'd say... about $1.56 for a Mounds bar on average. Might get 'em for less at a grocery store or a Walmart, somethin' like that. But $2.50, you must live in a rich people neighborhood.

I always mix up which one is the milk and which one is the dark chocolate. Almond Joy is coconut with almonds and milk chocolate, I believe. Then Mounds is coconut with dark chocolate. I never understood why they wouldn't make each one with both milk and dark chocolate varieties. Sometimes you want coconut over milk chocolate but don't want the almonds.

Mounds bars use dark chocolate, but they also make a very similar candy bar called "Almond Joy" which has milk chocolate and whole almonds on top of the coconut. I prefer the latter, I think.
