Genuine question. Why the hate for the kennedys and particularly McNamera

In my opinion McNamara was on one of the major reasons we escalated things in Vietnam I think he was just a bit too trigger-happy about sending troops and escalating situation in Asia plus he sent as many bodies as physically possible through some pretty shitty means look up "McNamara's morons" to see what i Mean
