The most amazing part of this podcast was Joe giving another serious, motivational monologue at the end, which used to happen at the end of nearly every episode of the Basement Yard during the Danny era. He hasn't been doing that in the current era. Joe definitely knows how to motivate in a very relatable way. Guy's smart and humble af.

SO true! Don't miss out on opportunities to try something new... When I was 17 (I graduated high school early), I flew out to UT to visit some older friends going to college out there because I was working at a hospital and trying to figure out what I wanted to go to school for and everything on the east coast just felt stagnant. I loved it out there and my friends said they had room for me and I could apply to a local place in town for work. I applied on a whim knowing it wouldn't go anywhere and flew back to the east coast. The next week I was at work and got a phone call from that company, we did a quick interview over the phone and they said, 'we'll need you out here in two weeks to start training' and I said 'ok.' I think I was in shock, hahah! I had to immediately go give my boss my two week's notice and knew that if I stopped to actually think about this decision (to quit my job, move across the country alone *at 17*, basically start my life over), I would talk/think myself out of it. So I couldn't think about it, I just had to do it. So I did. I packed up my car, drove 30-something hours almost straight, and never looked back. I've traveled all over, lived all over (even Bay Ridge in BK for a couple years!!!) and have been fortunate to meet soo many amazing people across the globe. Anyone reading this debating a change/move/decision... Go for it!! Someday you will look back and be so glad you opened yourself up to the new opportunity! Your future self will thank you!
