Funny skit. He had a beautiful voice. I'm a baritone and love to hear a special voice.

Lots of great memories here from when I was 8. Frank Fontaine I almost forgot about, but he was great, and this skit, Jackie Gleason unselfishly let Fontaine had most of the laughs, and a great voice, I remember it, was from Miami Beach. Now, this is left to the ages, but what fun it was back then. Thank-you so much!

I saw Frank Fontaine with my family at the Delaware State Fair around this time. Fontaine was well loved and gave a good show. Gleason's Saturday night show is a fond memory.

This routine always worked. Gleason just had to react and it made "Crazy's" jokes even funnier. The song at the end made it a classic in TV.

I BARELY remember seeing this on TV weekends during the late 1950s- early 1960s. The Honeymooners was also a MUST-see back in the day!

Thank you for posting this segment of Joe the Bartender and Crazy Guggenheim. That closing segment never failed to leave the entire family laughing hysterically. Over 60 years have passed and it is still just as hilarious! 😂

My dad love The Gleason Show from Miami. I was young but remember dad laughing at Joe the Bartender when he put his finger in the beer (every week). Dad could also do a great Crazy Guggenheim impersonation when he had a few.

There is an episode I have not seen since it aired and can't find it anywhere online.. After Crazy done his song he brought out his son(which I think was Frank Fontaine's real son). He had all of Crazy's mannerisms down pat and voice as well. You wouldn't happen to have that one do ya?

The seating was cavernous where this was taped. Gleason slamming his hand on the bar was an ""applause"" sign to the audience.
