As a professional business man, artist, singer, musician, songwriter, producer, engineer etc. ONLY he knows about (his) music and the entire writing & production process. However, with that being said, he is speaking about when it was written NOT released. It was written in 96 but released to the world in 2000. Understand that there is a very, very big process when creating an album and there's so many (hands) that has to get in the project before it can be released. Trust me, he KNOWS what he's talking about lol.
