I really enjoy your authentic work. The reason I authentic is because I've seen other channels were is looks like they just dumped their restorations in a mud bath for effect and I just can't watch them anymore, I don't know maybe it's just me. It’s ashame kids today don’t realize how great toys used to be. With the electronic age we live in today, toys are almost all but a memory. I still collect different old toys(I’m 53), and I’m going to restore some of the ones that are to far gone for display. I try to find lightly played with toys, as I like to imagine the fun it brought to someone.

I've never worked with powder coat, I've only used spray paint. If I applied spray paint the same way you do powder coat, I'd have drips, runs, and a horrible finish. Does PC just naturally go on evenly like that? I know you are highly skilled so it can't be as easy as you make it look. What a wonderful job, too. You brought it back from disaster and made it brand new again. Also love the color, a ray of brightness in dark times!

Thanks! Powder coat is essentially a polymer coating that melts. You apply the coat then when heated it flows out. The even flow is just it's nature. It;s actually a fairly easy process. I find painting way harder.

Wow, does that ever look fantastic. I dont think I have ever seen a buddy L with working front suspension, that was really neat. Also the job you did with the moulding of the cases and bottles was awesome. You didnt mention if the little hand dollies were reproduction or if you made those as well. Overall this is one of the best restorations i have seen of any Tonka or Buddy L,, great job. Sure nice having all of the specialized tools and equipment you have access too. Sure makes a big difference in the outcome.
