Engine sound is a bit coarse. Performancewise the car doesn't feel like a 160 hp powerplant. It's a shame because the rest of the car is pretty decent...

What kind of automatic transmission do they install in these cars?

Kia uses now the DCT - Dual Clutch Transmition for their cars. Its a good system that needs to have oil changed around every 60 000kms or 3 years. I would definitely get away from the "dry" ones that are not submerged in oil, they will get destroyed and the repair is around 3 - 4 000 €.

The sound insulation is not the problem, it is the engine sound which is plainly coarse.
