What Joe is talking about ONLY works when the person not cheating cares more than the cheater. It's contingent on him saying "Okay so you gone leave?" Know full well they aren't. That shit doesn't work with the "If you don't give a damn I'on give af" folks. A person should definitely leave when they find something suspicious...especially if their partner isn't open to having an honest discussion about it. Wrong! The point of asking “are you gonna leave” is for the person to see if this argument is as serious to them as they are making it. Because there are people that make mountains out of mole hills… because they love to be at odds with their partner. By asking “are you gonna leave” it allows them to assess their real stance on the issue. And the real stance, as he said, would be “I think you’re cheating”. And if that’s the case, then it’s time to have that talk… not a talk about some fuckin lipgloss. The hair strand is just the door opener to a bigger issue you probably already had. And if you don’t have a real issue… then what are we even talking about?

Why? because for most ppl cheating is a dealbreaker and the implied answer to that question is always "Yes". So, if they're asking about lip gloss, or hair in the shower, it's only for two reasons. 1. They just want the gory details to harp on and bring up in arguments later because they're not going anywhere. Or 2. Becuase they wanna know before they start pack their things if you had family over this weekend or not. This person is trying to give you the benefit of the slightest doubt. And dealing with a person like Joe it's damn near a joke cuz how you not know how someone else's hair ends up in your shower? Gaslighting like af.
