Vince Staples is 100% right. You can't talk about generational wealth when these dudes not even taking the idea of family serious, on top of having bad spending habits.

The whole idea of artists feeling like their art should pay for their grandkids to never work is just ridiculous imo. In any genre of art or music. Good for them if it does but we gotta look at how much we pay these people in general.

What he’s saying is basically once ur hot in the industry and u get the big cheque quit music immediately and become and investor with the capital u just got. @differentbutsimilar7893
@differentbutsimilar7893 22 күн бұрын
@@nalassiemusiqpage They were referring to how people see an older person who's been in a thing for a while and attach wisdom to that, when it's actually not wise to assume that someone is wise because they are older and doing something. Joe is the picture of that. Older guy, longstanding figure in the hip-hop world... LAST person to take ANY advice from. Presuming wisdom based on superficial stuff is usually a mistake. You see someone's been around a minute and think they might know something, but if you knew their life, that might change. Knowing nothing about Budden would have you thinking he's one of the old masters of this media - and to be fair, he does know things. But when you actually hear him speak, or talk about his own decisions, or his own life... his wisdom is lacking for someone his age. It's relevant because Budden often projects THAT image... because he acts like a wise, media father figure when so much to do with him has been a mess for like 2 decades and he becomes a teenage drama queen when things don't go his way. The older you are while only showing a superficial understanding of how other people work, the more obvious it becomes that that is the truth. Joe Budden is a child in an aging man's body. It's relevant to just about everything he does lol

I agree with Joe Budden on how ppl don’t want to listen to a whole album where someone is getting repetitive on how much they love their partner but it’s just sad how ppl don’t mind listening to how much niggas love the block and the streets in every track.

Bro, intelligence aside, Vince ain’t saying anything earth-shattering, he just knows how to make a good point, and it’s that he’s talking to Joe who is contrarian du jour most days and who also knows how to make a good point…that’s what’s happening here. It doesn’t take intelligence to do that, you just have to know what a good point is. 😅

Well yea I suppose that’s true, I just see no need for comments to weigh in on his intelligence based on THIS clip where they discussing industry issues, but w/ no real solution to them yet. And I think generational wealth is a non-issue and a vain pursuit. We have no control over how the next generation will handle the wealth even if we did hand it to them on a silver platter, but I digress there.

I agree with both. Our mentality of for sure wiped out. Also, they are clearly miss using the payout. I believe they go hand and hand. But to Vince’s point, if they pay’d the artist what they owed them and all the coins went to the artist, will the artist actually know what to do with the funds to help the rest of the slaves abs family members globally?

I just became a fan. Vince said to be able to send your children to a school where you do not have to be fly everyday. Me leaving Brooklyn NY and bringing my children to a place where they can get there white air force 1's a little dirty saved us money. Also, on another note you do not need 1 million dollars to start generational wealth. It all come down to investing most of your money.
