Today we lost a living legend: Tina Turner. I saw her in concert and Joe Cocker opened. It was truly the best concert I have ever been to. RIP Joe, Clarence and beautiful Tina!!

When it comes to underrated singers/bands, Joe definitely isn't... I'd say Dr. Hook is more so (they were my mom's favorite band growing up, though almost nobody from younger generations know them).

Ray Charles summed Joe up in a nut shell he really was the heart of rock and soul. Unchain my heart is just pure gold. He sings it with so much passion like all his songs. I'm a Joe Cocker fan. I became a bigger fan after I heard his version of this Ray Charles song Unchain My Heart. His voice had so much raw power which was already evident at Woodstock when he had performed the Beatles classic A little help from my friends. His version of this Ray Charles song though ( Unchain My Heart ) made made me a much bigger fan of his. Saddly Joe Cocker has left us too soon.He's moved on but he's not at all forgotten. R. I. P. Joe Cocker. You're loved and your legacy lives on. Thank you for the great music. You had fire and soul in that great voice. R.I.P. Joe Cocker.

+Deanna Kramer All the talent is kind of back underground like R&B, Blues and Rock and Roll was in the beginning. The crap on the radio today is all unimaginative, cold, computer generated junk. Drown In My Own Tears was a favorite of mine. Back in the 60s and early 70s when I was playing and singing in a band, we did a slower arrangement of it, more bluesy, with horns. I was always surprised that Cocker never did a version of it.
