I'm a Joe Cocker fan. I became a bigger fan after I heard his version of this Ray Charles song Unchain My Heart. His voice had so much raw power which was already evident at Woodstock when he had performed the Beatles classic A little help from my friends. His version of this Ray Charles song though ( Unchain My Heart ) made made me a much bigger fan of his. Saddly Joe Cocker has left us too soon.He's moved on but he's not at all forgotten. R. I. P. +Deanna Kramer All the talent is kind of back underground like R&B, Blues and Rock and Roll was in the beginning. The crap on the radio today is all unimaginative, cold, computer generated junk. Drown In My Own Tears was a favorite of mine. Back in the 60s and early 70s when I was playing and singing in a band, we did a slower arrangement of it, more bluesy, with horns. I was always surprised that Cocker never did a version of it.
