I'm a Joe Cocker fan. I became a bigger fan after I heard his version of this Ray Charles song Unchain My Heart. His voice had so much raw power which was already evident at Woodstock when he had performed the Beatles classic A little help from my friends. His version of this Ray Charles song though ( Unchain My Heart ) made made me a much bigger fan of his. Saddly Joe Cocker has left us too soon.He's moved on but he's not at all forgotten. R. I. P. Joe Cocker. You're loved and your legacy lives on. Thank you for the great music. You had fire and soul in that great voice. R.I.P. Joe Cocker.

Does anyone remember Woodstock? I had it all on tape and kept rewinding Joe’s performance until the tape started acting silly. Love, love Joe!

Your so rite-on. I remember in the '50's (older than dirt) when Ray came on my "portable" radio and sang "Drown in my own tears". Where's the talent today!!!???
@YerPope
@YerPope 8 жыл бұрын
+Deanna Kramer All the talent is kind of back underground like R&B, Blues and Rock and Roll was in the beginning. The crap on the radio today is all unimaginative, cold, computer generated junk. Drown In My Own Tears was a favorite of mine. Back in the 60s and early 70s when I was playing and singing in a band, we did a slower arrangement of it, more bluesy, with horns. I was always surprised that Cocker never did a version of it.

Deanna Kramer y’all check out Wilder Woods for some modern day talent. He’s the lead singer from NEEDTOBREATHE, and his voice is phenomenal. Such great diversity with his music too. He says that Joe Cocker is his favorite singer, so I started listening to some JC videos. 😉

Mi tema favorito de Joe Cocker. Lo que más hay que resaltar es su voz tan bonita, ronca y profunda.
