@@JoeDobsongaming I actually don't have a PC, otherwise I would definitely recreate lines over here in America and make them as big as they should've been. Passenger wise, not cargo, until cargo becomes a source of income in the game!

Looking forward to when you do the Harrogate line between Leeds and York, because my local station Knaresborough is on that line!

The Transpennine route is just starting in on a massive upgrade. They’re electrifying it and upgrading line speeds in sections all across the route, and heavily rebuilding sections between Huddersfield and Dewsbury. They’re planning to move Ravensthorpe the other side of the junction so trains from Wakefield can stop there too. All these stations are also going to have passing lines where the Express can bypass the stopping trains. Your predicted speed on the line is a bit optimistic, I think 160 is a better bet. Your trains might struggle to keep the timetable you set. If they keep ending up at the wrong ends you could swap what trains come from where on different days. You could also edit ending times individually to make them end in the right places. I think Bradford is a good bet for an extension. You could continue the Calder Valley lines from there to Manchester, Preston, and Blackpool. Filling out the Liverpool area is also a good bet.

hi joe good vid again, look forward to these. i use the trainline.com and type in the from and to, to get a price and thats what i use for pricing,(well we want realism dont we). gonna now check out the mods as i dont seem to have those extra trains. keep up the good work squire.

Thanks Paul!!! Noooo don’t ever use the trainline haha, they get the same prices as the train companies website but as they’re a third party you get charged a booking fee 🥺

@@JoeDobsongaming no worried just did my first long distance line bham- lon marylebone, followed the route from that open railway map, i use 2 screens so easy i have nimby on the one and open rail on the other.got the new trains thanks love the game

I know it's unrealistic, but due to game limitations, you could do a 'bypass' at the smaller stations [with waypoints] and loops to let the stoppers wait to be overtaken or just double track it all the way [expensive lol]. Edit: The stopper could me made to wait a minute at each of their stations to allow for the overtake.

For some short routes, I’d suggest going towards either Halifax and Skipton or from Leeds to Selby.

@@JoeDobsongaming according to trip advisor it’s an area of outstanding natural beauty and the only place I know in the Uk it rains sideways, pub on that station is a bit “funky” too

Selby seems a fairly safe bet and can be extended to ‘ull later on then possibly a line to the capital by which I of course mean York the capital of god’s own county as for the timetable start at one end send a unit into service then run the route until it the end of service and park it up in the nearest depot then do the same from the other end and keep adding trains up to full service? As long as you have the right number of units on depot each night it should work right

When he adds Hull trains.... That timetable will have to include replacement bus service and cancellations. Yeah.. Im from Hull so Im allowed to slag off the company.

If you do the Airdale line / wharfedale lines (my local lines) please do shipley well - it has 5 platforms in a triangle configuration 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Except mine will have 6 platforms of course haha, Bradford to Skipton will be getting an upgrade 😂

@@JoeDobsongaming to be honest there is room for a 6th platform at shipley the same direction as platform 5 so 6 will work fine 👍🏻

To be fair when I used to work trains through there, if memory serves me correctly, you can still see the remnants of platform 6 opposite? Have I imagined that?

@@JoeDobsongaming you are correct sir. It could still be opened as a platform and there was talks of reopening the platform for increased services with a potential new platform at keighley aswell for trains every 20 minutes from keighley to Leeds and increased journeys on the Airdale line all over. With express journeys from Forster Square to Leeds Via Shipley. Also we were meant to be getting a train every 2 hours to London but currently that’s only from Harrogate. Many plans are in the works as part of the Northern Powerhouse Rail. Shipley is getting substantial works in the coming years with a reintroduction of a long since closed underpass to a new road and home scheme to the east of the station currently empty land. :) If you need more info :) I live near shipley (saltaire) I can try to help where I can :)
