High Density City Route | City Bus Manager | Episode 52

Hello everybody and welcome back to City Bus Manager!
It's time for our weekly visit to Tarvin today where we're back up in Liverpool concentrating on our operations there. We've got a fair amount of money to play with and with it being Sunday there's a reduced service across the network. So let's get a new service running.
Much like our Joe+ exclusive series in Manchester, there's definitely the demand for a Liverpool city bus. Some sort of high frequency route connecting all the built up areas in Liverpool. Let's start out every half an hour and increase it as we go!

To look at passenger numbers per trip: you can look at the line overview in either the map or the depot (the purple icon that is not the shift schedule). If you have routes that are either to busy or see to run deckers just for the heck of it, then you can change the setting in the timetable for witch bus group you want. Also if you have a couple of shifts that are not assigned automatically, make sure you look at the time between shifts planned in: im sure i saw like a shift ending at 12h something and one starting at 16h on the same bus while you were scrambling away looking to fit in that shift that started at 14h20. Even if it turns out you NEED more busses, then you have the maximum time to get them. (Can be usefull when money fluctuates) For the rail replace routes, i suggest you buy a couple (like 5 or 6) older busses (the bigger capacity the better) that would be preserved or at least have that age, and assign them to their own group, potentually their own livery and every time you accept either an event shuttle or a rail replacement service, just go in the timetable immediately after accepting and assign them to that group. Give them special plates so they appear in the beginning or the end of the shift schedule and that way you can be shure they are only run when on those services.

Joe you can always buy the bus directly from Liverpool and save more time. Also you need to repair buses in remote depots

When you create a remote depot, it says that vehicles will be maintained by contractors.

It would make it so much easier wouldn't it. I just find it easier with the second hand buses to buy them to the depot and then transfer haha :D

Try not to rush when trying to make manual reassignments, you missed two better options.

Or change the settings to allow less time between shifts - think the default is 2 hours.

Joe you need to upgrade the depot to 2 star or 3 star to get the electric chargers in the depot

Try just grinding half a mil before the next episode then start up the L1 every 20 minutes on weekdays and every 30 on weekends! It should work well with little crowding
