God I fucking love this album. I had to buy a stereo just to listen Big Black LOUD. Small speakers ruin the onslaught.

One of the few albums/EPs where I think the drum machine fits more than an actual drum set. Very cool and catchy EP imo.

All Big Black songs were like that -real tight, then when he collaborated with basically Scratch Acid to do Rapeman, the drummer, Rey “Roland” Washam, was so good you couldn’t tell it wasn’t programmed.

I was fortunate enough to have a knowledgeable current source of music as a friend with a good point of reference, and I was able to hear these musical releases within one or two years of their release. My choice of friends has always included those with great musical tastes! Big Black was definitely one of the most unique flavors of influence for me. I have flashbacks of music that I used to listen to and I remember who it was that turned me on to that music.

@@westerncivilization I can't confirm that Al met them, but Paul Barker's brother apparently appears in the intro of one of their live videos, and it's pretty well understood that Al managed to pull two songs from imitating Big Black's "Racer X" ("Stigmata" borrows the drums, "NWO" took the guitar riff).

@@Faked_train for what was done as one teenager making an entire ep, its truly phenomenal, although that is true, the ep doesnt stack up to the rest of the big black discography as, like hes mentioned, theres more creative power when 3 people are involved rather than one also thank you, im glad that people can find enjoyment out of my content my content :D
