I heard this dude in ‘90’s on KCRW, and I was transfixed. I painstakingly went looking for him decades later, but only now do I find these treasures on KZbin. THANK YOU. And R.I.P. to this total genius.

Joe Frank had mad storyteller talent. It's really sad Hollywood didn't use him more. R.I.P., legend

One of my favorite JF episodes. Listened to it a thousand times. Slightly menacing, slightly dark, slightly noir, Joe’s voice and tone exactly on point, and then the hook: “And that’s how I first became friends with Brooks…”

This takes me back to Senior Year in High School. It was many years before I even knew that "In the Dark" was the name of this series, because for some strange licensing reason, they always announced the shows as "Joe Frank's Works in Progress". I had to call the radio station to find this out when I was fortunate enough to hear them again, but I had remembered them as "Joe Frank's Works in Progress". At first, I thought I had gone crazy, something akin to the Berenstain Bears effect.

Green Cadillac is from "In the Dark" but Joe had several different series. "Work in Progress" was the name of the series of shows from 1986 through 1992.
