Joel's character has always been this naughty loveable 20 year old talking about things a naughty 20 year old gay guy would do. But he is 33 now, so the act doesnt quite work. So maybe he needs to change his material a bit I think, and rebrand into a more mature character. Perhaps a bit like Johnny Farnham changed his 'presentation' as he aged. Actually not quite the same thing, but you get the point. Sill will always love Joel.
