That's why I have no sympathy whatsoever for the 76ers. Their "management" heads are idiots for having agreed to paying millions to 2 overrated bums, one who is more concerned with his social media side hustle, and the other is one big crybaby who goes out of his way to intentionally hurt other players on the court whenever his sorry ass falls down

@GrumpyCat-mw5xl

That’s what I was going to say. There must be plenty of money with ticket sells, merchandise, cable, etc and they are doing so well the players are extremely valuable to them so they have to pay them. So they do pay them and it’s become so much money that they are wildly wealthy. When you think about it the amount of money they are making is out of this world. It’s cool in a way like to see them be superstars and make tons of money but it’s caused many of them to turn into Divas. I mean if in a few years you had 100’s of millions you would lose motivation to work because technically you could just retire and live off investments. What’s ironic is so many of them lose all their money.

Embiid is so lazy. I know people say Jokic doesn’t love the game. If Jokic doesn’t love the game, why is he playing game after game and leading his team? If he didn’t love the game, he would’ve retired years ago. I feel Embiid only cares about the money.

He’s injured. Brian Sutterer released a pretty informative video on the swelling / agitation in his knee. I think it stems from him trying to rush back last year to be available for the playoffs. They removed part of the meniscus because that’s a quicker recovery time, instead of doing the full repair. Honestly can’t think of another player that received this amount of criticism for being injured.

Agreed! I would also limit how many times teams can shoot 3 pointers per game. 10 is a good number. It would bring back the post game and the mid-range game. Also bring back hand checking and refs that will call the games with integrity. IE , palming, carrying, double tribling, traveling and walking

Nah dumbass take. If you think podcasting is killing the NBA and not 55% of shots from the best team being 3s your head too far up your own ass. Draymomd podcast is more successful and brings a more insight on the game. In PGs case it might make more sense for his specific contract having a stipulation on games played for extracurricular activities but Embid doesnt even have a podcast, is more important to the sixers and has missed more games. Zion literally eating himself out of the NBA and no podcast to go with it

Shooting threes doesn't discount somebody from being a superstar, dude. I'm 54, and I've been watching basketball since the late 70s, and even I'm cringing when I read stuff like that. No, the reason we don't have superstars anymore is that we know too much about these dudes. Social media, podcasts, too many damn interviews, and too many narratives pushed by commentators and "hot take" artists, have turned these guys all into regular people. People are still watching the NBA regular season?!? I Quit years ago. How can anyone stomach these Divas making 40 million a year to sit the bench, not driving to the bucket and no-calls everywhere, they DO NOT respect their fans, they are no type of role model, and contribute nothing other than a few hours of entertainment a week to a very small segment of society and the gambling class. PG, Kawhi, Simmons, Embiid, Irving, the list goes on and on. They play when they want, they don't play when they don't want to, and they'll make more in 1 game than you will your whole life.

I see that you got inspired by Robin from SnR with the sponge bob "I don't really feel like it". Just heard it today. Love the inclusion of meme clips. They make the video funnier and more enjoyable to me. For some reason, it took me some time to understand the appearance of Iverson in your video. With time passing, in my mind, the standard of the 76ers are so lowered that I seem to refuse to acknowledge that it is the same city and team. No respect for this era! Iverson was phily, hearth, respect for the fans and the game. Maybe he didn't feel like to have the need to practice but gave it all on the court. These dudes nowadays do not show to work. Guys that are not going to get you a chip, that dissapear in the playoffs, that don't care. Don't reward them and another thing, players need to achieve something to get a max conctract. look it s simple and true. Today s players have absolutely not even 50% of their past generations in any matter, physically, skills, playing defense and the list would go further. Today the nba is shit and the quality is below european basketball often. I bet a lot of teams in the nba would loose to a top europe team today. 20 years ago that was almost not possible!

I didn't see any load management when the towers were hit. I didn't see any load management when we fought the Japanese and Germans simultaneously. Where was the load management when Saddam was captured? When Helene and Milton struck? Aftermath of Katrina?

Pretty simple fix really.... you play 20% of the season you only get 20% of total contract.

There are modern players that go out every single game. Like Tatum and Brown just play. There's no load management. I think they might sit out the last game of the year or something like that if they're clinched but that's about it.

I get your point, but it has to be said that a regular season of 82 games followed by playoffs where a team might add up to 28 more games is plain insanity. I get that the league needed something like this when there was not much money in it, and they badly needed the money from the fans going to games in person. But it is a global spectacle now. They do not need this to make the league financially viable. They should cut back on the number of games - perhaps around 50 for the regular season. What they have now cheapens the regular games, it does not leave enough time for building up the hype for interesting games, and it is physically exploitative for the players (no matter how much they are paid). Stars objecting to playing on consecutive days should be seen in that context. The fact is that they are right. They should not be asked to put that level of pressure on their bodies.

It’s not just Embiid why cupcake era NBA sucks. Ben Simmons, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Kawhi, George Paul, Zion, Ja Wick, etc. etc.
