I don't know if anyone can answer me? How great saxophonists manage to develop so many well-rehearsed phrases ?

Daily practice, transcription, a lot of listening and digesting music over and over and over and over until it becomes part of your instict just like breathing and irl exchange with other musicians for 20-30 years non stop should get you there

Practice. Practice and more practice. Once you get done with that, even practice. Listening to the greats and transcribing. Then even more practice

Right environment to grow, listening, understanding, snatching an idea from everyone around, trying, failing. Doing it all the time.

Good job Wesley. But your changes are not what they are playing. Best vibes!

Bob, these are rhythm changes in concert Bb (C for tenor). I purposely do not notate substituted/outside chord changes that are implied so that you can visualize how the musician’s vocabulary relates to the song’s chord changes. Thanks for watching.

I’d rather listen to Sonny Stitt. He sounds like he’s practicing.
