Similarity here to the teaching of Abraham-Hicks who refers to "inner being" rather than "god" or "christ." The teaching maintains that we all have an infinite amount of abundance and can receive it when we relax and ALLOW it to flow to us. Any resistance such as hate, envy, victimhood, sadness, etc. stops the flow due to not being in alignment with inner being. Inner being knows only joy and goodness and sees the good in everyone and everything. It is also advised not to flaunt your abundance and to speak generally about it if questioned. Only to have a "teaching moment" when the questioner is feeling good and can be receptive to a deeper answer. Thus the new generation has found a different way of presenting this teaching. Of course there are others now, too.

Jesus called God his father. Joel goes by Jesus teachings. I always call God my father too. But am sure you can call God spirit. Or mother father God. Or what is comfortable to each individual.
