Joel is so underrated, by which I really mean unknown outside of metalhead circles. The guy flat kills every time I see him!

I humbly believe no Lead Guitar player of Whitesnake would ever be considered underrated. David Coverdale has always set high bar standards for hiring in the band. Especially for lead guitar. Same for Cher (The Goddess of Pop - not a metalhead), who Joel also played with.

You are right. I understood what you said, and I agree. Perhaps Satriani is also little known by those who don't play or appreciate electric guitar (guitar virtuosos). Anyway, both Satriani and Hoekstra are among the best guitar heroes.@@rapid13
