Klatt is a good analyst, but he is too immersed in the Big 10 to see the forest for the trees. Clemson is going to be far too fast for OSU to defend. Those “ranked” opponents are all plodding, slow Big Ten teams that are not in the same world athletically. And Oklahoma has no chance against LSU, period. LSU had three or four defensive starters that did not play against Ole Miss when the quarterback gashed them so bad.

There are four fine teams in the playoff and frankly, any of them can win it. I am a Clemson fan and have been for years and years; Dabo has his team focused and ready and they are in Championship Mode. They peak at the right time in the last few weeks of the season and this year's team reminds me of last year's team in this respect: They get much, much better and kick it into five more gears and while the other teams are very, very good, I see Clemson winning it all because of how they play, who they are and Dabo Swinney. He's the best motivator as well as coach in the game and believe me, the Tigers will have the "Eye of the Tiger" on December 28th. GO CLEMSON TIGERS!!!!!!!

Bad point from Cowherd about the last time Ohio State and Clemson played each other. Ohio State got blown out, but not because they “hadn’t seen Clemson’s speed” before. Ohio State wasn’t “out-athleted” that game. Ohio State was every bit as athletic as Clemson. Ohio State smoked a very athletic Oklahoma team earlier that year, were off the heels of some of Urban’s best recruiting classes, and were loaded with guys that killed it at the combine with their speed and athleticism. They had 3 receivers and 3 db’s running low 4.3 40s for Christ’s sake, and the rest running in the 4.4s. Ohio State got killed because they had a basic offense (and offensive coordinator in Tim Beck) that couldn’t throw the ball down field. Because of this, Clemson’s already great defensive line was able to further stack the box, so Ohio State couldn’t run the ball either. Ohio State was also the youngest team in the country; experience matters. Finally, Ohio State’s special teams were terrible (2 missed field goals). Ohio State’s defense actually played great, and certainly good enough to win the game. Watson was picked off twice in the first half. Then, on one of the final plays of the first half, he threw a pass that barely got tipped by an Ohio State defensive lineman. If that ball wasn’t tipped, it was going right into Malik Hookers hands for a third interception of the game; this time it would’ve been a pick-six. Pretty unlucky for Ohio State there. Ohio State still would’ve lost, but it would’ve been a more respectable score at least.

I see Oklahoma doing damage to LSU. LSU's defense is illusional because although it did look good against Georgia and Texas A & M, those team's offenses were ranked 60th and 71st. Big time jump from facing those offenses compared to facing Oklahoma's especially with the runner up Heisman candidate at QB that can run very well. This game is going to be much tougher for LSU than people think and it even has upset potential contrary to popular belief. LSU's offense is ranked 1st while OU's is ranked 2nd, and LSU's defense is ranked 32nd while OU's is ranked 25! I do expect LSU to win, but it could literally end up around a score of 45-44, but don't think it's impossible for the flat out upset to happen in OU's favor as well.

Roll Tide yea, they kept saying how much of an improvement they made against Arkansas, A&M and Georgia. With OU losing their best safety I might give LSU an extra 2-3 points that game. But I’m also an OU fan and total defense is a mediocre stat to use. Sure, we allow less yardage but we control the clock a lot more.

As an Oklahoma fan I can tell you Ou should definitely put points up against LSU. This whole narrative that LSU is going to run Oklahoma off the field is crazy. Lsu is insanely talented and they are the #1 seed for a reason and they will for sure move the ball on Ou. Especially with ou being down 2 defenders. But LSU looks like a big 12 team this year. High powered offense and not the greatest of defense's. I agree with them Ou put up points against bama and Georgia and they can against LSU too. Just like any Ou postseason game they can't fall asleep at the wheel like they tend to do because it'll be the orange bowl and they'll be down 28-0 real quick. Oklahoma with the upset #BoomerSooner

@@MrWalkwaySc2 Now that you mention it, I think I might like Oklahoma's clock controlling offense over LSU's quick-strike offense even though I know both can do either one when they want to. The key to this game is keeping your defense off the field in which Oklahoma has proven they can do which might have resulted in such an improved defense for them this year. That and turnovers of course. LSU has obtained some key injuries too in their training camp, so that might even it up a bit, but they'll still be dangerous of course.

@@DubDavis3567 We know both teams will score, but this game might literally come down to which team can simply just get a single stop to save their life. It's hard to guess which one since OU's defense is wildly improved but has played inconsistently and same thing for LSU as well. Oklahoma's defense has looked good against great offenses this year while LSU only looked good against terrible offenses. But if OU brings their A-game I do see a way their defense at it's best can bring them a victory.

Roll Tide if OU can control the clock and get 1-2 turnovers that might just be enough to win the game. The defense is much improved but missing two key players should hurt them a lot. LSU not having their starting RB is the biggest problem for them. If they can’t successfully run the ball I don’t know how much success they’ll have on offense.

Obvi what people haven’t learned is USC has 18 returning starters and most of their team is juniors and sophomores meaning they don’t have a lot of scholarships. And people have been calling Clay Helton a bad coach when he went 8-4 this season with a Freshman Back Up QB and a defense that has 9 guys who are underclassmen

I get it. Ole Miss gashed LSU. No one ever mentions the fact that LSU played Bama the week before, and played Auburn and Florida in the previous month. They were banged up with a few hurt players on the defense. They also had a substantial lead at halftime and took the foot off the gas. Everyone wants to keep bringing that up, but it was an aberration for the season, not the norm.

Back in my day as Clemson fans we begged for our current team to not be judged by the failure of previous teams and Cowherd called them frauds. I think that Ohio State is judged for their 2016 failure vs. Clemson and even going back to Tressel's failures against Florida and LSU in national championship games over a decade ago. The fact of the matter is that both teams are stacked with talent and whoever shows up and makes the fewest mistakes is probably going to win. Can't wait for the game.

Colin I think you are wrong about the football playoffs. Oklahoma got punked by LSU and Clemson (pronounced CLEMPSON in the south as not CLEMZON), squandered very few opportunities last night. They cannot at least in the near term pick pick their conference for football, which is truly a weak sister. However, Clemson has played their way out of the bowl games/playoffs to beat some very formidable teams: Ohio State 4, Alabama 3, Oklahoma 2, and others. The teams that dominate college football are loaded with team speed. I believe this is the dominating factor. Speed kills period. LSU and Clemson should be a track meet.
