Very well described observation about the flow of cities and differences between US and Europe. I can definitely relate to that as I've noticed the same phenomenon, and once you figure out that flow you learn how to plan and visualise your shots, as Joel describes, predict the conditions.

I love this. Joel really describes the essense of shooting street photography and the 'intuition' or sixth sense as he calls it that a street photographer develops. Henri Cartier Bresson was a master of it!

He's good, no doubt, but would he have "gotten on" without Jewish connections in the media and art world? Ditto Andy Warhol, though admittedly not a fraction as talented. Much too much racial cronyism going on in NY and London also - blocks a lot of other talented people from getting fair exposure.
