Matthew 7:13-14 King James Version (KJV) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Since Jesus achieved so little, why does Joel use him as an example? there are so many of Joel‘s teachings that have answered long-held questions in my life, and have helped me spiritually. But his honor of Jesus is something I have a hard time understanding. I was reared in a Christian church, but the crucifixion of Jesus has never had the effect on me. The church intended, I left Christianity a long time ago

"Jesus achieved very little???, you are either ignorant or just simply hate him without cause. Without Jesus the Christ, the revelation of God as is understood by Joel could not have happened, thats why He honors Jesus the Christ. If you cannot honor Jesus you will find it very hard understanding God. Mabe his death was to atone for the sins of all who will die ignorant before understanding the true nature of God as taught by Jesus, Joel and all other enlightened teachers.

Think of human history as the history of the EVOLUTION of human CONSCIOUSNESS. There has not been a single human more responsible for a more profound and lasting transformation of human consciousness than Jesus the Christ. From the earliest Chaldeans to the Zoroasters to the Oriental Buddha, there have been many catalyzers of human consciousness, but none as important for OUR AGE than Jesus. Personally, i find my own thinking very similar to yours. It’s as if i’ve been on a road of rediscovering just how important Jesus was. He gave us the blueprint for how to become a Christ, or how to become Christ-like

Yes. Good thoughts there. I hear you. The blue print ~ the beatitudes.. “blessed are the pure in heart, they’ll see God.” It’s all in there.

John 8:31-32 New International Version Dispute Over Whose Children Jesus’ Opponents Are 31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Matthew 7:21-23 New International Version True and False Disciples 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

I’m not ignorant, nor do I hate Jesus. He cast his pearls before swine and so he was crucified. I had Jesus the Christ pounded into my head for the first 27 years of my life. I don’t need Jesus to love God or no God. What did the Buddha do?

Buddha and Jesus were 2 humans who came across the same Truth
