It's sad how this song hasn't even aged a day. Still as relevant as ever.

These song ain't meant to be danced to it's highlighting homelessness and how there's so many kids living on the streets
@lukewaters94352 жыл бұрын
People just ignore homelessness and pretend it doesn't exist Joel brought light to the situation and still there's more homelessness than ever before how many have walked past a homeless person and ignored it

Seriously mate, look at the powerful reactions your song has garnered on KZbin alone. You make a difference today. Each like is a view and an opinion. Change is needed and the relevancy today is incredible.

I was just a little kid when this first came out after his AUS Idol stint. Now here we are all these years later and it still hits so damn well as it did back then. It just ages so well and I can’t stop listening

Brilliant song mate. One of the few great things to ever come from a reality show. This song is the reality of the poor. And my job in our country is to protect kids, not matter from where..

As a ex gom kid I relate to this on a deeply touching level I respect Joel so much for bringing light to our suffering us foster kids faces in care never will I forget the cold stares an abuse I faced I knew the meaning of fear far sooner then the meaning of love an for me fear is still apart of my daily life because I know I'm not the only one I'm one of many an those many are not heard infact they are silenced an it hurts me still I am definitely inspired by people like Joel to make a difference to those in the system an others who are suffering by the abuse pushed onto them by our government an really hope for change we are yet another a stolen generation in the sense that I like many never had a chance at a childhood we had to grow up fast just to survive rant over an god bless to all who need it
