This is part of why I love Pink Floyd. Also awesome to look in a crowd and see the age ranges of people singing along. Not many bands have touched that many generations and continue to do so. I just don't understand that in 10 years there's only 15,200 views. It should, seriously, be a million. I mean, I sent this link to my siblings and asked one to show it to my mother (we live in different states) and ALL of us were blown away. It's a song I've long loved. Everyone in the family loves Pink Floyd. My late brother even had one of their posters on his wall. There was something about this that made me want to cry. They just brought such emotion to it juxtaposed from what many usually expect from deeply religious Hasidic Jews.

Tribalism will, likely, always win out in the end. It is human nature, imbedded for millions of years. When push-comes-to-shove, we will always revert to the basic instincts of our animal brain. It's how we have survived for millions of years. When someone attacks your family, are you going to stop and sing a song with them or are you going to fight for survival?
@jgeph2.43 жыл бұрын
@@tonyheaton4941 well I disagree with your worldview of millions of years and animal evolution.. scripture is clear we all have a fallen sin nature and are alienated from our Our Creator and God and He has provided a way of reconciliation through the cross of Christ . This is so cool and unexpected. I was in a bar in Florida and a Russian Guy walked in and seen the piano and said can I play . Sure. He started to play show tunes and then asked me what I like. I said Pink Floyd , really meaning Not show tunes. He then proceeded to play Pink Floyd on the piano for about 2 hours . It blew me away, he was fabulous. I never would believe that Pink Floyd could sound so good on just a piano. I never seen him again .

Just come across this - love it. I work for an Israeli company and have been down Jaffa St. I live in Cambridge in the UK, which some think of as the home of Pink Floyd. We often go to Grantchester Meadows and it always makes me think of Umma Gumma. Before we met, my wife used to live in Syd Barrett's old house.
