Yo he is the realest dude.. he came into Sam Ash when I was working one time to do an interview for some online mag.. but once he saw me recognize him, he hung up his phone and showed me love. Gave me a hug and was like "whats up man.. Joell".. Like.. my man.. you didnt have to introduce yourself to me.. I know damn well who you are. Just another dude though.. he makes sure you know that and Ill never forget it. I was already a fan for life, but that spoke to me on some deep levels. For context I am a guitar player who looks like a biker metalhead and i was the only one who knew who he was by face.. this was a couple months after he put out Nissan Honda Chevy which was all over Hot 97 (or Pwr105 or both i forget) at the time. He murdered that traxk and I was hooked. He keeps evolving too. We are lucky to witness him as an artist and further we sre lucky as people to have a dude.. a REAL DUDE for young cats to model themselves after. For what its worth, if shit went down and I was in the room, I'd be throwing hands and taking shots for Joell cus I got so much god damn respext for him.
