It has been 8 years since I met the love of my life. We "met" over facebook, talked so much, learning about each other and fell in love. We both live in different countries and I was in high school when we started dating. He had so much struggle as a foreigner in that other country trying to survive everyday with Visa issues and couldnt go to his own home or come meet me. Fast forward 5 years I somehow persuaded my parents to let me go meet him and we met. It was complete magical it was like I've always known him. Last 3 years he finally had me to celebrate Christmas with and just be with someone he loves during holidays. We met every end of year after that with him meeting my family in January of 2020. Now with Covid 19 he cannot come here and I cannot go to him. He has been living alone for almost 10 years now, obstacles everyday, spending holidays with no one around, he spent years cleaning toilets to pay his fees but then the professors failed him, he had to work 20 hours in a day to pay all loans he took from different people to pay his fee while sending money to his home. He had people put gun on his head while he worked at a gas station.. Then all the saving he collected all these years he spent every single penny to get his only sister married whose wedding he couldnt even go to because his Visa status didnt allow it and later her husband took off after few months only.. finally we decided to get married this year and start our life together and covid happened and now my country doesnt allow any foreigners. It's like nothing works in his favor. I wail with heartache of being away from him but everytime my eyes fill with tear I ask myself "do you trust god"? And i reply to myself- YES I DO, and my tears dries up. Yet I dont know how to replenish this faith in my poor partners heart. His heart aches and he still puts up the most bravest face and show me all the love he can but he has lost his Devine connection. I just wish I could replenish his faith just so we could go through this another rough patch.
