I 100% agree with you guys! The way I look at KZbin videos is that those of us watching are guests in your home/life. You have been gracious enough to share a bit of yourselves with us and we need to be respectful and kind with our comments. You share or don’t share what you want and if we don’t like the content then we have the choice of not watching/subscribing. I simply don’t understand people who feel that because you have a KZbin channel, we have the right to dictate what you share with us. It is absolutely rude and disrespectful! To those people I say, it’s time for you to get a life! Figure out what is lacking in your life that you feel you are entitled to intrude on others. I guess that ends my Ted talk😁. Joel, I have learned from those like yourself that vlog how many hours and work goes into these mini productions, it’s definitely sad when someone is lacking in appreciation, but as I always say ignore them😝. The best responses for trolls are "k" or some generic copy/pasted "thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the content". They have nothing going on and want to get a rise out of you. A negative response is better than no response.😂

I did 4 on KZbin and said OK this is NOT for me...I am retired, and it is more like a full time job to do KZbin vids. I also think you(both you and Keegan)are brave. Before my husband passed away, my husband and I used to go out to the cinema and watch different movies as we liked different genres of film. We’d meet each other back in the lobby when the films were finished then go out to dinner 😊. Love your videos Joel! Reminds me of a time when we were both very happy! Xx

When I lived in the UK, parking garages were a bit scary when driving on the left and then having to turn into a parking spot next to a column. Just not used to a right hand drive and then the last year purchased a normal left hand drive car from Germany to bring back to the states. That was even more of a fright.

This language conversation just lit my fire. I 100% agree. The purpose of language is to communicate and understand each other. If you understand what a person meant enough to correct them your correction is not needed. If you don’t understand, ask questions so you can understand. Don’t correct them to show how superior you are. You can be absolutely right and it does you no good because that person now is no longer interested in speaking with you. Sorry, I have big feelings about this.

Joel, I enjoy your content and appreciate the work you put into it. I loved my virtual trip to Belgium😊. You struck a chord with me when you mentioned watching Monsters seemed like work. I find many modern series tend to stretch out for too long. The Day of the Jackal is a great thriller but I doubt if the original 1973 film with Edward Fox can be bettered. Especially since an Alfa Guilietta figured prominently.

I understand negative comments are not fun, but there is a difference with trolling/bullying and constructive criticism. It seems like influencers can tell "their truth" which comes with judging/opinions/criticism, but when a fan does it then it is bullying/trolling. Maybe the fan that said "low effort" was not meaning it as trolling, but what you did the year before just set the high bar. Could they have said it better yes. But fans are allowed to critique and not be yes people/kiss your butt. You guys do it all the time on the podcast and these videos give opinions that are not sugar and spice and everything nice. I think these videos are great, and always do you.
