It calmed down after the super ego left, and you shined further, and then once it settled down with you, Freddy, and Paddy, it became a good program again. @bilbonob5482 ай бұрын
Interesting you didn't point out the scientifically illiterate and pretty dishonest retconning of the truth Rogan did at the beginning. It isn't "green energy" companies that lobby for political influence, its literally the opposite (koch brothers, CATO institute the list goes on and on). Even if an EV draws 100% of its energy from a grid that is 100% coal, due to basic laws of thermodynamics and the fact that heat engines thermal efficiency scales with size, the CO2/km driven for that EV will STILL be lower than an ICE operating at even the highest rated thermal efficiencies (~35%). When you consider that a bulk majority of EV's exist in the state of california, and the state of californias energy grid is predominantly nuclear/renewable - that argument completely goes out the window anyway. Either way, EV's aren't the solution to AGW, they help... to a small degree, but the reality is major infrastructural and societal changes would need to occur to offset the footprints associated with our current energy growth output.

Camisa has become a bit of a shill, TBH. That Cybertruck "review" he made was a joke.
@Shorty15c40072 ай бұрын
@@AkioWasRight If I'm honest, I couldn't care less about him trying to oversell some EV pick up to rich people trying to convince them its something extraordinary. People who buy it know what they are getting into. Most of us can't afford a Cybertruck, let alone a new vehicle so it doesn't affect most of us. I'm sure if we had to chance to drive one, we would have a fun time. Owning one and expecting it to last is another story, but my point is I don't care. The team he has behind him with the slow motion editing and fun banter he brings reminds me of what the old TopGear use to be.

Yeah both of those guys are on the a-list. Not just from the content they make, but in the values and the way they communicate about "automobiling".

Camisa has such a cheesy, middle school sense of humor. He just tries too hard. Harris is the exact opposite. No BS, just facts. Camisa is all BS all the time.

Ok but knowledge was not the main thing that made TG what it was. It was the three musketeers.

Thats great if Top Gear was a car show. However, Top Gear became way more than automotive review show under Clarkson Hammond and May. People who didn’t care and knew nothing about cars watched the show. If automotive knowledge and driving skill made a good show, Fifth Gear would be way more successful show with Needel, Plato, Butler and Smith.

Always had time and a lot of respect for Chris Harris. Used to read his articles and columns in car magazines and a big fan of him and his channel where you got a sense of what a car felt like in the hands of a petrolhead and a superb driver. 👍🏻

The day I watched Chris's review on the Ferrari FF I called the local (only in state) Ferrari dealer to see if they would be interested in (at the time) my brand new 2015 Huracan with < 500 miles on it for any FF they had. A week later I drove home in the dealer's show car. The Huracan may have been the better car to live with on a day to day basis, but my FF made me feel an order of magnitude more special when driving it. Some news paper or website in Detroit actually spotted it while parked outside of the store I was shopping in and started to photograph it. When I walked out they interviewed me and even wrote up an article with a picture of it! It goes back to the car being SPECIAL. Thank you Chris (even though i was destroyed when It came time to sell it ;) )
