Why is when the that phone rings in the little red triangle light flash?

visual indication that a call is ringing. It's useful in noisy situations.

The red indicator on these sets are for voicemail. The firmware of the phones doesn’t let you change that. The desi strip flashes because that is where it indicates that.

Yes, but you shouldn't hook it directly to a standard telephone line

@@seanjuthI did that recently. The phone just lights up all indicators. It’s basically just presenting as if it has power but no data. Which is what would be happening on an analog line. But as soon as it was on a digital line, it went back to normal.

This is crazy our hospital had these phones before but they got black Cisco phones 😤

Cisco is great too though. My 2 favorite systems are the Nortel and CUCM.
