I bought and learned to use a soroban some years ago. I wish I had someone near me so we could work math problems together with it. Thanks for sharing your collection and understanding with your community. I wish that schools still taught "ballpark calculations" and the math tricks that I learned in "Scientific Analysis on the Pocket Calculator". With a simple 1970's calculator it is possible to do advanced math. Same with the soroban.

The exhibit turned out great! As a kid in the 80s, I had a teacher who showed us the abacus and its use.
