What a joy to hear a boy playing brilliant jazz like this, such a unique talent. Joey has already established himself as a top jazz pianist and performs all over. A once in a hundred years talent I think. Good luck to him.

Unbelievable maturity in his playing. He knows when to play and when not to.

I like that this young man was not a show-off. Nicely nuanced performance.

He's channeling Erroll Garner at times and it's wonderful. The intro reminded me of EG's Body and Soul.

Exactly. On other songs, he's borrowing from Oscar Peterson. But he has his own talent.

What age is the young artist here - 12? This is great playing at ANY age...I have been playing Joey Alexander CDs in my car - just love them. My daughter told me Joey's latest Monk CD will be my gift for 2017, and I can hardly wait to hear it!

В нём рождается Эрролл Гарнер! Все другие музыканты уже давно расположились в его сердце и мозгу. It gives birth to Erroll garner! All other musicians have long settled in his heart and brain.

Out of 10 million piano players ONE might be as good as you.............. well I don't think so ! You are a one in 350 million that play so well , and at your age ...... WOW .

It's just not believable that a kid can play piano like he is 70 yrs old. Classical? Yes. Everyone strives to have the same sound. Jazz is nuanced and everyone strives for an individual sound. This type of touch cannot be taught. This is on par with Mozart and I am shaking my head.

Yeah he doesn’t sound anything like erroll garner. Erroll’s signature sound is that, he’ll play melody and solos with chords and rolls them.
