With Future & Metro Boomin releasing their album ‘We Don’t Trust You’ being what started the entire 20v1 rap battle between Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, A$AP Rocky, Metro Boomin, Childish Gambino, Playboi Carti, Lil Yachty (maybe), Travis Scott (maybe), The Weeknd, Rick Ross, and more - which ended in Kendrick dropping his #1 hit record that was also a diss song with ‘Not Like Us’ - the entire world was listening to a song clowning Drake. Kendrick did the unthinkable afterwards, surprise dropping his album ‘GNX’ - announcing ‘The Grand National Tour’ with SZA, and giving us the music video to his now #1 billboard hot 100 hit song ‘squabble up’. Now, the year is done and to kick off 2025, Joey Bada$$ decided he had enough of the love the Westcoast and Kendrick were receiving, so he decided to send a diss Kendrick’s way with his new song ‘The Ruler’s Back’. While Kendrick is yet to respond, Joey’s garnered multiple responses from Westcoast rappers like Daylyt, Coyote, and TDE Top Dawg Entertainment’s own Ray Vaughn. We will break them all down.
