“I think the San Francisco 49ers will make a very real effort to sign receiver Brandon Aiyuk before the start of training camp. Mike Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle has the San Francisco 49ers’ offer at a new-money average of $26 million per year. My sense is that’s getting in the neighborhood of where they’ll have to lock up Brandon Aiyuk, whom they really do value and love. I think the final number, if I had to guess, will wind up being $29 million per year, which would put Aiyuk past the Miami Dolphins’ Jaylen Waddle and Detroit Lions’ Amon-Ra St. Brown and still behind the Minnesota Vikings’ Justin Jefferson by quite a bit (which would be understandable)...The interesting thing”

Talking about Joey's injuries but what I find funny is when CMC was traded to the Niners he was always out with injuries but when he was traded to the 9ers CMC overcame injuries because winning teams every game matters, when your on losing team why not sit out when it doesn't matter 😂

if he was traded it would be like 20ish million over 2 years....his restructured and signing bonus money sticks with his old team as best as I understand it....I could be wrong, but I suspect it would be similar to CMC's contract...only some of that money can be traded...the dude has not proven to be super durable ...dude is out.a ton...but for the right price....ramping him up slowly so he is available in the post season could be a win-win....I don't think the dude could be a down in and down out player for a season.

You don't think Aiyuk's agent didn't know that other receivers weren't going to reset the market. He was not going to except a lowball offer from the niners just to get it done quick. It is not how the contract looks now, it is what will it look like next year and beyond for the niners and Aiyuk. Aiyuk will be playing on a $14 million contract this year (5th year option) if he does nothing. He made $2.3 million in 2023 on his rookie contract. He can sit out and get nothing. Play on the 5th year $14 million or take the $26 million the 49ers are offering. There is nothing happening in the NFL for the next month or so there is no hurry to sign. Brandon is going to sign the contract the niners are offering. There will be some tweaks, he should get the most guaranteed money he can get. This will get done before camp. All I have to say is, it is good to be Brandon Aiyuk!!! It would be cool to see Joey and Nick playing together, but Joey is not what he was.

I hope that Joey Bosa can join his brother ,Nick . However for that to happen, it would rely very heavily on Joey’s health. It’s double edged sword because if he has a good year and is reasonably healthy , why would the Chargers let him leave ? On the other hand , if he has a year which is sub-par or marred by injury , why would the Niners even want him ? As far as BA give him 29-30 , however the Niners must modify their offensive philosophy to incorporate him like number one WR . If they do , they would be unstoppable and it would lessen the load on CMC, and open up the offense

If they reach a deal, I think a contract worth a little more than Waddle is the price target. Waddle is a WR2 but can also be a WR1 on a team that needs a WR1 and not pay $30+ million. Really Aiyuk is a WR2, as Deebo when healthy is the 49ers WR1, look at that huge season he had, he was an all pro that season but Aiyuk was never a top 10 WR but wants top 5 money. So, I can still see a trade especially since they drafted a WR in rd 1.

I think Brandon worth about!$17-$23 million a year. Plus I think Brock worth $35-$40 million a year. There are to many stars to pay. We have 6 offense players in the top 100 proformance to be first and second option on the field. That's it, they only have 2 stars on the dolphins. And that's it. The other teams only have 2 or 3 players in the top 150 on offense. Not counting the 49ers 9 playoffs teams left only 7 was fit to by in the top 100

Chase, maybe you’re incorrect on the 49ers played Aiyuk’s contract wrong. Maybe Aiyuk wanted the market to reset before he would sign and the 49ers had their hands tied. It was in Aiyuk’s best interest to wait and the 49ers best interest to sign him early. How do you know it’s not Aiyuk who wanted to wait.
