In 1992 I was 17, gay and hell bent on destroying myself. I’m relieved things are different now. God, that was hard.. I still haven’t figured out how to forgive myself but I’m close.

You're here. You made it. We both did. Love yourself. I was 17 in 1992, too. :)

A Billy and Joey gay relationship could have been so pure and enticing. Oh well. At least they made this big leap regardless.

have yo seen what the actor who played young Joey looks like now. DAMN is a smoking HOTTIE. I also had the GREAT pleasure of meeting Nathan Fillion, who played Joey as an adult. He came thru the airport I used to work at. He was the nicest guy. Such a great person to talk to. It was maybe a minute or 2 conversation, but he was just incredibly down to earth.

You know when this story debuted, I was 13 and kinda gay. This story helped a lot with I guess acceptance. Funny is that I was a 13 year old watching a soap opera. You live and you learn. Thank You, I haven't seen these episodes in 25 years.

I was 16 going on 17 when this story debuted. I knew I was gay too, and this helped me. Gave me hope that I could be.

It's so messed up, my best friend literally came out to me, and acknowledged how he likes me, but doesn't accept his desires. I love him, but don't think I'll get the chance to be with him if he can't accept himself.

that’s actually so sad😭✋

@8pookii it's very sad. Recently had a hard conversation with him, and he said the more I subdued him into thinking it's okay to like guys the more he was attracted to me. So ridiculous, blames me for his own desires.

Im bi and this hit hard im afraid to come out to my family I don't know what they'll do I came out to my cousin and since he's super religious he won't speak to me ever again

You don't have to do anything right now, try to keep yourself safe. If you know coming out will jeopardize your living situation, I wouldn't do it, but if it's possible in any way--you can slowly ease your way into it. There is no wrong or right way to do this, but just know that being who you are is the best thing you can do. As for your cousin, blood relatives aren't always meant to be in our lives. Blood relations mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. Let him go, he chose his path, religion, you didn't get to choose yours, your orientation. It is easier said than done, and I know it's very hard right now, but you will get through this, no matter what. Regardless of societal standards, regardless of what your peers say, parents, social media etc, you are who you are meant to be. There is nothing wrong with you, I hope you know that. Much love x

The writers badly wanted to make joey gay but abc had a cow that vikis son could not be gay so they rewrote but this looks like they were going in that direction.

Her parents were killed when she was a child leaving her with her crazy aunt kiki. Aunt kiki was a terrible woman to raise Marty, she spent the money her parents left her to travel, leaving Marty alone growing up, than Marty was diagnosed with Lupus and Kiki still didnt care enough to come home and look after her neice. Andrew reached out to Marty so Marty grew feelings for Andrew. When he rejected her advances she vowed revenge on the minister.
