Joey finishing #8 while driving a conservative race to get AM Racing some much needed data, I'd say he did great doing exactly the job he was hired to do. He couldn't afford to crash or get wrecked so he played it safe and finished the race. Anyone who followed Joey's career knows that he's a much more aggressive driver than that (to a fault quite a few times). I found him a bit boring today but I understand why he had to be careful.

Listening to the first part of the audio, it seems that Joey complained of some of the same things Hailie has been saying on the radio for a while now. Hailie is not a bad driver despite how many people hate her from the sidelines. Joey has been in Cup since Hailie was in the 1st, maybe 2nd grade. That experience can not be discounted. And for those haters, remember this. Hailie is in the game while y'all watch from home.

I hate to agree but I think you're right. I do think she has the talent. I have always sadly thought that she focuses way to much time on her social media and personal "fun" time away from the track. That is in large part to her boyfriend now fiancee', being the "marketing manager" of her career ( apparently in the wrong direction). Won't matter either way though cause you can't run top 20 or worse every week no matter what the reason and stay in the driver's seat. She's made plenty of money thanks to her fan popularity and merchandising so she's good. Why be great when you're young, have money and having a ton of fun outside of racing?!? I agree with a few comments about this being a road course and that a good driver can put a not-so-good car up in the top 10 or 15. But.. I’m really anxious to see what this car and team can do at an oval. That will be the real test. And I know what I’m about to say won’t be popular but females historically cannot drive these stock cars and be competitive. I don’t know exactly why but they always struggle in these cars for some reason. There are several females that have done well in drag racing and certain types of sport car racing but they just seem to struggle in all three top nascar series.

Logano just ran a SOLID top ten in the car, clown. Something Deegan has NEVER done. Brett Moffit ran the same equipment last year, finished 17th in the points, had a few top 5s and top 10s. Explain to me why none of am racing drivers has ever come close to wining a race wither in xfinity, arca and trucks. Deegan is not a great driver I grant you that. But the car having issues most of the time and the crew chief not know how to properly set up or make proper adjustments to the car is not helping matters any. If you listen to deegan scanner during race week I feel that the crew chief isn't listening or work with deegan to make the car better.

Sliced Bread gave some good feedback but really think all this could have been accomplished at a test session or during practice. I'm sure the team made their best effort and Joey, one of the most experienced and successful drivers in the sport, could only muster 8th place. I think the cars are average at best, there really is no crew chief and Haillie is still a rookie driver - people like to forget that. We do need to see performance from her every once in a while, but think it'll have to be with another team. Would love to see her in an actual HASS-prepared and crewed car.

There is very little you're gonna do about an ill handling stock car on a road course. Your shocks and spring rates would have needed to be dallied in to make any meaningful changes with the adjustments available to the pit crew.

Deegan has removed AM Racing from her Social Pages, according to those who went to check it out for information, so, that is pretty telling, if true. Kenny Wallace says that you don't bring a Cup Driver to replace someone unless Deegan has had enough or the Sponsor said they are finished. I guess we will see. My guess is she would have been involved in another wreck at Chicago, no fault of her own, hearing Joey complaining the car was loose on the track. I think the CC might be to blame for the setup problems. There are not a lot of Teams that will want her if she has to look for another ride, unless, she goes back to Truck.

To those that are unfamiliar, a good or excellent driver can diagnose and make recommendations for adjustments. Obviously Logano is talented and can diagnose issues. Most drivers have complaints about their cars during an event. Deegan, while with some talent, just isn’t getting it done. She needs to regroup and step back.

This will cause the engine to fail prematurely. 2. How many times has she missed her pit box or positioning the car too close to the pit crew causing delays? 3.The tires shred prematurely when the driver inappropriately enters corners, overheats the tires, and makes contact with other drivers, which happens often with Deegan. No other driver on the track shreds their tires faster than she does. 4. Deegan normally runs towards the rear of the pack where she is often caught up in wrecks, or causes them herself. If she ran closer up front or midpack this wouldn't happen. Clearly you know nothing about stock car racing and what a poor driver can do to damage the engine and shred the tires prematurely. You'll see a big difference in the performance of the 15 car once a competent race car driver enters the cockpit. Joey Logano just prove that today. But go ahead, blame everyone else for the incompetence of Deegan if it makes you feel better.

I think the problem is Joey weighs probably a lot more than Haley Deacon ,so even on an average car he's going to do better because he weighs more,he's a much more,and is much more of an experienced driver. I think a lot of the problems here is she doesn't weigh all that much which takes away from downforce and it makes it hard to adjust the suspension to compensate the car for the lack of her weight. I think all female racecar drivers will end up having the same problem in the Xfinity ,and Cup series.
