Tom Rinaldi makes his 'Big Noon Kickoff' debut with a story that goes beyond the gridiron. Although football is in his blood, Penn State Nittany Lions cornerback Joey Porter Jr.'s real inspiration comes from his sister Jasmine who has autism. Porter Jr. majors in special education in hopes to eventually run one of the special education centers his family has created from Jasmine’s inspiration.

Met them at a PSU game a few weeks ago, and they are as nice and as grounded as they come across here. I really didn't know this whole story, just that their daughter was special needs. Wow...it gives me an entirely new and greater respect for them. At Penn State, We Are a family, and I'm glad they are part of it.

Wow. Has there ever been a more amazing family that's lived?!!! I want my Lions to draft Joey Jr. SO badly w/ one of their 1st Rd picks in '23. He's gonna go fast, but we'll probably have a shot at him. I'm praying Brad Holmes can see what an outstanding young man he is besides being the best NCAA corner in the country, and he pulls the trigger on this future All-Pro and community asset. Detroit would absolutely fall in LOVE w/ this kid, no question. He belongs in the 313.
