He is the son of former Steelers All Pro LB Joey Porter, and many had Porter Jr going to Pittsburgh at #17 overall in the first round. The fact we got him, and Jones is absolutely insane to me. Going into this draft my thought process was… “either Porter at 17, and then a lower end LT. Or a higher end Tackle like Jones at 17, and a lower end CB at 32.” We got both, and I never could’ve imagined that it would play out like this. So far Branch still hasn’t been picked, but I think we go MLB or DL with the next pick. Although if we got Branch too I’d be happy as fuck.

He and George Pickens have almost the exact same measurables. Porter is 6-2.5, 195, and ran a 4.46. Pickens is 6-3, 200, and ran a 4.47

I honestly didn't think joey jr would be lasting to 32..He ran a 4.47 at the combine at 6"2 194 and is a good Man to man cover corner.Teams stop throwing to his side so you won't get ints so he shutting a side down and the best part is he is working with Patrick Peterson a sure fire hall of famer.He will be great but Omar nailed this you sign Patrick who can still play and teach .Genius move .

Watching him play at Penn state was truly amazing. His highlight reel doesn't do him justice. He didn't get alot of picks bc other teams just didn't throw the ball in his direction. Shutdown cornerback. Denzel Ward potential. Pair him with Minkah and tj and our defense is going to be nasty.

True, he has very stiff hips. Coming from a Penn State fan, he was a second round prospect, not first round. He has all the tools to be elite, but it will probably take some time
