I think you have to look at it a little differently. - he had the confidence to take 15 shots. He kept shooting even when he got stuffed. - the Vermont goalie played LIGHTS OUT, stopping shots that normally would’ve gone. I think it was less about 22’s shots and more about the saves. - if the 15 shots, 8 were on goal of those 15 only 3-4 were I’ll-timed or forced. They were mostly great shots that were even better saves. - Joeys is playing the most scrutinized position, at the most scrutinized school, wearing the most scrutinized number in all of college lacrosse. He is doing it at 18 years old starting his first game all while shouldering the hopes and expectations of the entire Cuse nation. I’m not sure there is a more pressure situation in all of lacrosse of college sports at the moment. He’s done it with grace and confidence. Good on him. While I wouldn’t give them a “Cuse is back” nod just yet, I would say they are in good hands. This is coming from a non Cuse fan. -
