After watching your recent videos of her I realized I have her puppy! Her backstory is that she was dumped behind a vacant parking lot with her 2 other female puppies, who are about 8 months old. I currently am fostering one of the puppies & someone else is keeping the sister while you have the momma !! Thanks for taking good care of her. She definitely deserves all the love in the world !

Dogs hide their puppies to protect them from predators. If the bed is where she gave birth, she is trying to destroy it to rid the area of the scent of blood that would tell predators there is a weak new mother and tender babies nearby. I love you videos!!!

Often times dogs will move their puppies when they feel their puppies are in danger. Or sometimes it’s just when the like another spot better than the one before.

She was out in the streets for about 3-4 days. Animal Control was able to easily get her. It took me 2 full days to rescue one of her puppies because she was scared & did not trust humans.

she may be tearing up her bed because she is stressed out, anxious, or bored. Boredom is often the easiest to understand. ... Dogs who chew their beds often hold the bed down with their front feet and bite down, then pull upward with the neck to tear the bed apart.

My dog used to tear up the pads overnight due to boredom. I had to actually stop using them for about a year and a half, but now she stopped tearing them to shreds. She is also a high energy herding dog, so she gets bored quickly

As a stray she probably had to find dens to sleep and is looking for a covered area as that’s where she feels safe as she’s had to hide herself so she’s trying to move them to an area with a roof. My dog loves a covered area under the coffee tables or dining table and her cage as soon as I put towels on top and made it dark is her special place she loves it! Try a covering Joey it may be what’s going on ? They are gorgeous and mama is a sweetie pie! Thank you for all this demanding good work you do to help these beautiful dogs, your my hero!

Hey Joey, my dogs a rescue and your dog seems to be acting a lot like mine. My dog always freaks out when she's getting fed and eats her food so fast like she won't get another meal, this means that she's probably been malnourished at some point in her life. She's probably just acting out because she's had this past trauma and she wants to protect her puppies. If this is already obvious I'm sorry but I hope I've helped!

Joey you should get a big box for her, she probably feeling a little unsure for her babies, take the cage out, and put in a box, big enough for her to move around and for the puppies. Also maybe not handle the babies so much, she's probably unsure about you too, as you've not been in her life for very long, she's doing what any loving mother would do and protecting her babies from the giant who keeps coming in, ie you. Your doing a brilliant job,, and you should defiantly carry on as you have the means and nature to do this job. Xxxx

Some tips:If you ever think about using a heater for them,don’t put the heater under them.Also I wouldn’t interact or touch them too much,The mother probably hid them from you cause she’s getting annoyed at you for touching them and interacting with them a lot.It’s a good thing to make sure their okay everyday.Just DONT interact with them too much.They can get a disease called Skin disease.If they get that that means you put a heater under them or touched/interacted with them too much. She can also feel threatened since you pet Wolfie and the other before her,She probably smelled the scent of the others,I would recommend some gloves or to wash your hands before coming in with her.

If she was a stray, they constantly move and redo the "nest", so they'll move them from say under a house into a hole they been digging close by and when the pups are moved they will actually destroy any sign that there was a nest there.. no scents, to the untrained 👀 eye it would look like a pile of rubble...

I don't know if someone's mentioned this, and this will likely be buried, but she is likely moving them away from her actual birth area. A lot of animals naturally move their babies as soon as they're "safe" or "ready" to a new area to avoid being found by the blood scent. Obviously new towels fix that issue, but she might still be trying to move instinctively out of the same area. Plus there's always the chance the tub is retaining too much warmth and the mother is moving the puppies to better regulate the temperature. Add in the scents of your others dogs + cat she has not yet met, she might feel mildly threatened as well.

All those kisses she gives you are for saving her and her puppies she had safely with you. I heard dogs only give birth if they are in a safe environment, otherwise they won't give birth. So she knows you saved her life. I bet she'll always be thankful and remember what you did for her.

They are growing so fast! I swear every time you adopt a dog or cat that’s pregnant they all get huge and get adopted in what feels like the blink of an eye! It’s the most amazing process to watch but I wish they’d stay little 😭
