I think the idea behind the moto "one more" is to keep pushing yourself, no matter what you're striving for. If you aspirations, you're not going to achieve them without working hard. One more game, sure, but it could be one more hour of study, one more quiz, one more hour of music production, one more kilometre, one more push up, etc. Time is ticking away. Life is too short. I also loved the message in the song about the friends moving away, living out their own lives and following their individual aspirations. They were there for each other when they were needed though during the championship final. That's true friendship.

I still think the message is a little toxic and enforces a sense that life is somehow a race, and you should keep pushing yourself. I understand that that kind of mentality is sometimes necessary in sports, for example, but it doesn't mean that kind of stress is unhealthy. Very American.

I know you're probably joking about the video takeaway at the end.. but I just wanted to say that I really found the video inspiring. My takeaway was that you can say One More about whatever your passion is in your life. In the video he tries basketball with his friends and fails, and then when his friend later introduces him to Valorant he immediately falls in love. So that's his passion.. his "one more". But for one of his friends who was good at basketball, she is seen later in the video playing at a higher competitive level, so you can imagine she had many "one more" moments in her journey to success too. I really loved this video and thought they did an amazing job intertwining real life with the game, and providing a really awesome message through the metaphor of just playing "one more"! Also loved your reaction to the different instrumentals in the song. The things you pointed out are things I can FEEL while listening to music.. but because I've never produced I don't know what to call them. So it was nice hearing your breakdown!

To be fair, as far as the video makes clear the one more translates less to one more game and more to one more try. Don't give up being defeated but just give it one more try. We first see that seem in the octopus toy in the beginning. They failed to grab it the first time around but we see them using another coin afterwards. After that we see the toy scattered all around the video. Generally the video is also freaking amazing in it's cinematography alongside the lyrics.

Someone on the song music video posted this as a video synopsis: A band of childhood friends from seemingly different walks of life come together and eventually discover Valorant. The game brings them closer together. The sweet taste of victory; the bitterness of defeat---the journey itself solidified their friendship as their in-game grind reflects the eventual growing up they do in life. Throughout the years, they played and enjoyed the game together, but as reality eventually catches up and gets in the way (jobs, other responsibilities, etc.), some of the crew hung up their headphones and started focusing on other things except for their one friend who is determined to climb the highest level possible and become a professional Valorant player. As time "ticks away" the protagonist player continues the grind; ONE MORE game, he says, as he inches closer to his dream...and then it happens. He becomes a pro player...but at what cost? As he climbed the stairs to the stage, he thinks back and wonders if it was all worth it. Did he reach this point all by himself? Was all those hours of gaming worth it? What about his old friends? Do they still think about him? His focus on the game prevented him from being able to spend time with them like in the old days. Do they still think about him? To his surprise, as the game is about to begin, he catches a glimpse of his old crew sitting at the front showing their full support of him---smiles beaming as they cheer for him. One more...one more...not just for me. One more for my friends...One more for the old times....One more for the future....One more, he thinks as he stretches and jumps into the game, ready to give it his all. TLDR: Not everyone will become a pro Valorant player, but that doesn't matter. It's the memories made, the grind together, the wins and losses together, and the incessant pursuit to become better in the game and in other aspects of life that matters. The journey of Valorant itself and how it brings people together is what makes this game what it is.
