Sound Deadening and Detailing (ASMR)

Last year I installed sound deadening to the rear of my 4runner. I finally decided to finish the rest of it. Including detailing my dirty carpet.

to answer your question since no one did LOL, it does work, it sounds like my 2021 since i did mine, and i only did the 4 doors. I have 96 that i did the sound deadening

Did the sound deadner work? How quiet did it make the cabin?

Just enough haha. I did it because I have a Jamo exhaust system.

I did the floor pan and didn't see much difference, then i did the doors when i added my speakers, i used the exact stuff he used, kilmat 80 mil.. the doors literally cut the sound in half. It sounds stock again (i have magnaflow exhaust)

What's the wheel setup? Did you have to cut anything with your lift?

This set up is 285/70/17. 33s. Had to do some cutting on the back side of the front fender and trimming on the front bumper.

What rear tire mount are you using? Custom? Or can I buy a simple swing arm like that for mine? I like that one way more than the heavier and lower clearance one's I've seen

I copied you with sound deadening, i didn't notice much of a difference, then i did the doors when i replaced my all my speakers with some nice CT sounds speakers. The doors for me made the biggest difference and made my magnaflow exhaust sound stock again.. did add about 40lbs of weight to the car but i really don't think that matters. Also can you tell me where you found that vintage toyota 4 wheel drive sticker?

Sound deadening installed completely wrong didn't clean the surface with alcohol & didn't use a roller why even install it if you didn't do those things before installing it?

Did it make a big difference in interior noise levels? I’m planning on doing just the floor (and shampooing my carpets) here in the spring. Great vid too…. You shooting all Osmo?

It did. Especially with my aftermarket exhaust. I high recommend it doing all sides. Floor, doors and even the back panels. It’s a lot of work but it’s worth it. And thank you!! I shot this with my canon mark iv.

@@lazibuilt Good to hear. I am about to build my like 40th Toyota and have never touched the sound deadening before, so this is great encouragement. I actually own a creative agency and we do lots of production work - so I appreciate your efforts here, I saw a comment on an Osmo and thought "there's no way thats a DJI camera". Also good motivation for me to cut EP 1 of my build ;) thanks again!
