Why? Because you watched 5-minutes of a highlight video that every single RB (and every single NFL prospect, from first-overall to UDFA) has? Look at Michael Warren's or even Corey Clement. After all, we need more thunder than lightning with Sanders and Scott being locks to make the roster. I truly wish AJ Dillon wasn't over-drafted because he has a chance to be a better version of early-Jordan Howard. He'd be perfect to complement both Sanders and Scott. But obviously, that won't happen. If you thought he'd be immediately stolen from the practice squad, a team would've drafted him. Watch full games of his -- he has spurts, no doubt, but is very slight. Like, he's faster than this person, but watch Donnel Pumphrey's highlight tape coming out of school. Everyone thought he was Sproles 2.0. When in fact, it was blatantly obvious he was too small and/or not fast enough to compensate -- unlike Sproles, when he came out. There is likely to be three QBs on the roster, and while I understand rosters expand in 2020, they may even keep four TEs with the obvious two plus Rodgers and Asiagi. With RBs, would they really keep more than four, total? I doubt it. So, it would have to be 1. Sanders 2. Scott 3. Clement/Holyfield/Warren 4. Killins, with the possibility, of only carrying three RBs, and using Hurts as a pseudo-RB/QB hybrid for a handful of plays per game. I can definitely see him making the team, don't get me wrong, but to think he's this stud due to an average highlight video, it's just... not the smartest take, imho.

I have had season tix and been going to UCF games for years. My sons and I met Adrian Killins after a game one time by chance at a restaraunt. Really nice kid. It was actually then (not any particular single play on the field) that we realized how deceptively fast and STRONG he is. Off the field he is cordial, kind of quiet, almost too laid back, and not very big. We realized, "Wow, he really is the 5'7" and 162 pounds that they list him as. " His size and demeanor off the field gives you a totally different impression of him that Im sure hurt his chances with some NFL scouts. And like one Eagles fan commented below, "Cool our jets" and lets not get too overly excited. Its true that some college stars dont translate well to the NFL for one reason or another. And that might happen to AK. You never know. But there are three things that Eagles coaches should look at closely with this kid: (1) is obviously his speed - Yes folks, He really is that fast and explosive and yes his legs really do move that fast. He gets the ball in open field anywhere, and he is gone. It looks like a video game some times. Look at how much fasterhe is than the other teams SAFETIES and DBs. Look at the TD run against Michigan... Michigan. Look at the speed difference. It is for real. (2) His natural vision and instinctive running. Notice on some runs how he makes minor adjustments while traveling at warp speed that leave safeties and DBs twisting into awkward yoga stances trying to readjust as he blasts by them. He has an intangible instinct. And isnt in just these highlighted TD runs. He has an intangible instinct. (3) STRONG amd TOUGH - This is the part I think NFL scouts missed about him. He is deceptively strong and tough. UCF ran him up the middle too much. They just did. Heuple played that card too much. They over-p!ayed him up the middle to the point that defenses were looking for it. And especiL if blocks were missed, then he ran right into a tackle, a guard, two line backers, and a safety all at once and got nowhere - but no RB would. The thing is though, even in those situations, he didnt slow up one bit or run into that linebacker timidly. He came guns a blazing every time. He doesnt run soft or try to razzle dazzle. He comes at you fast and hard like a fullback. A very small and light fullback. But, if he gets his blocks and/or instinctively sees daylight somewhere, he hits it hard like lightening every time and then the afterburners light up.

One more thing. (4). His speed and toughness makes his blockers job easier. Blockers dont always need to get their full block for him. Often times partial blocks are all he needs because of his speed and attack toughness. He doesnt need full pancakes from his blockers. Just put that D lineman or linebacker off balance a little bit for a millisecond and thats all Adrian Killins needs. Then is already past the defender before the defender even knows it. Then theres the "fast" free safety or DBs i the secondary. But you usually arent as concerned if they get blocked or not. Afterburners on. You cant hit or tackle someone you cant even catch up to. His speed, toughness, and natural instinct and vision is for real. I hope he translates to the NFL. If he does, get ready for some pretty fun football to watch as he adds a different type of element to the field that defenses dont know what to do with. And if they get him some solid blocking???... Oh boy. Lights out
