Moneyball in Football: It's Here

Everybody in baseball is familiar with the term "Moneyball", which is aided by Brad Pitt's role as Billy Beane in the popular movie. But where is Moneyball in football? Four Nations Football Consulting (4NFC) believes that their recruitment solution enables clubs to find players that can help them reach their objectives through statistical modelling. Why pay €30m for a player when you can pay €12m and still reach Champions League football?

This is amazing, I play FM a lot and I have spent an eternity matching players for a squad of 22 rotated trying to mirror the 1st team player to have two 1st teams in the mould of Chelsea ect. then I would gamble on 11 youth players to fill in for the injured 1st or 2nd 11 thus providing experience and growth, but now taking on board your method I can now look to sign players to increase points rather than can he dribble, can he pass and can they shoot ect. Instead, can they provide key pass, can they score, can they block or intercept and can they save. Av ratings. My eyes have been opened. I would therefor like to express my gratitude for such knowledge. could you recommend a team to start a new save with that has been working towards this so I don't have to build a whole backroom staff ect. I really enjoyed this topic and will change the way I look at FM as I obviously do not work for a team IRL. Thank you for taking the time to share! Subbed!
