This B-flat Sinfonia Concertante by the great Johann Christian Bach from 1776/1777 is full of musical elan & the finest taste throughout - and reminds us how much the musical world has lost by his untimely death the evening of Mon 31 Dec 1781 / Tuesday 1st Jan 1782 from Pthisis-Tuberculosis & terminal pneumonia - as Mozart wrote ‘what a loss to the musical world !!’ He was only 46 years old.

Thank you very much "E.V" for sharing! Excellent Johann Christian Bach: Sinfonia W.C46 - each note is in its "natural" place (!) Divine performance.

Apart Mozart an his insuperable concerting symphony K; 364, JCB was the undisputed leader of this gallant "genre". 🖤🤎💜💙💚💛🧡❤

I agree. For me, he is the leader of the so called galant period, the transition from baroque to classical. His music is so flowery and inventive, not to mention thoroughly enjoyable. I listen to JC a lot. Moreover, his style is intriguingly so different to his father and siblings.
