Puros tesoros. Gracias, maestro Mencoboni. Desde Chile 🇨🇱 . Mario Dueñas B.

The extraordinary destiny of JJ Froberger lies in the fact that, while his works were hardly published during his lifetime, his profound talent and his many travels would transform him into an important cross-pollinator. From Frescobaldi to Louis Couperin, he carried around musical ideas that would otherwise not have travelled so quickly.

This is the warmest rendition of this suite I've heard so far. Well played Mr Mencoboni.

Everything about this video is magnificent. The music, the interpretation, the instrument, the video direction, the sound. Bravo!

What is there in the Re-mood that makes Froberger's pieces of this mood/mode so captivating? It must be the mix. of all the components and the 'Italian' free spirit of this German composer. It must be the wonderful sound of this particular harpsichord and the very clever musical's taste of your interpretation (including the sensitive use of registration) and the special non-modern and non-manieristic-way of touching and holding the keys. I must thank you and all who participate in this most beautiful upload for reviving my deepest past-love to this instrument and its repertoire, now being 60 years old who lost touch with it many years ago. All the best, Riva.

The first time I heard Froberger was on a CD I'd bought. Something about it reminded me of Frescobaldi and then, when I read the booklet that came with the CD, I found that Froberger had studied under Frescobaldi.

Exactly, and Froberger employed such style in many of his Allemandes

Wonderful. It lives and breathes. And this way it sounds modern and fresh. I would love to visit a masterclass 🙂

That was spectacular! I particularly loved the gigue :) Thank you so much for this. I have the complete keyboard works in four volumes, but no harpsichord... I am determined to make them work on the piano, though!

Should it be a fast Italian Corrente or a slow French Courante?

Please write down how each string sounds separately. Open these .wav files for free access. To home any person on the computer to play on the MIDI keyboard with such an excellent sound. To record each string separately for 10 seconds will result in approximately 10 minutes of personal time spent. I take care of the rest of the sound processing. You just need to find a good microphone and a computer for recording and that's it. Send me a file in which the sound of individual strings I cut into separate files and process the equalizers and as a result a ready-made digital musical instrument.

nice playing. But why all the mannerism?

Whose Manner?
@rogerevans80814 жыл бұрын
Why should you care about alleged mannerisms? If a person can play this well, I don't care if he stands on his head or wears a clown suit.
@buxdan3 жыл бұрын
What mannerism? Not exaggerated at all, french music and without parts.
