This vase, which shows many characteristics of Roman glass objects that were excavated around 1900, bears the decor name Cepahalonia and was produced by Johann Loetz Witwe, around 1904. Cephalonia is a decor that imitates antique glass by means of shape, inclusions in the glass and on some vases applied green patina. The patina is in most cases applied to the upper part of the vase. The glass from which this vase is blown contains a very small amount of uranium, which creates a special shine in the glass, especially when sunlight shines on it.
